Letters to the Church

Christ’s Death and Resurrection are foundational and indispensable to the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles . The Apostle Paul discusses the future resurrection of believers in his second letter to Timothy in response to denials of this “ sound teaching .” Faith in the resurrection is central to the doctrine of salvation proclaimed by Jesus and his Apostles.

L'arrivée de Jésus avec une grande gloire entraînera la résurrection des justes morts et la fin de la mort elle-même - 1 Corinthiens 15: 24-28. Paul a répondu aux croyants qui niaient la résurrection à venir des justes en soulignant la nécessité de la résurrection pour notre salut et notre vie dans la nouvelle création. Il a souligné la Mort et la Résurrection passées du Christ comme le précédent et la garantie de notre propre résurrection.  Nous serons ressuscités corporellement lorsque Jésus arrivera des cieux.

The arrival of Jesus with great glory will result in the resurrection of the righteous dead, and the end of Death itself  - 1 Corinthians 15:24-28. Paul responded to believers who denied the coming resurrection of the righteous by stressing the necessity of resurrection for our salvation and life in the new creation. He pointed to Christ’s past Death and Resurrection as the precedent for and guarantee of our own resurrection.  We will be raised bodily when Jesus arrives from the heavens.

Paul exprime son objectif d'aller jusqu'au bout, un processus qui aboutira à la résurrection corporelle lorsque Jésus arrivera dans la gloire . Paul a demandé à la congrégation de Philippes de continuer à leur “ achèvement ” en Jésus. La résurrection corporelle doit avoir lieu pour la consommation de ce processus et l'achèvement de notre salut. Cela se produira lorsque Jésus apparaîtra “ sur les nuées du Ciel .” Dieu continuera à accomplir ce qu'Il a commencé avec notre conversion “ jusqu'au Jour du Christ .” Le salut est un processus tout au long de notre vie.

Paul expresses his goal of going on to completion, a process that will culminate in bodily resurrection when Jesus arrives in glory . Paul instructed the congregation of Philippi to go on to “ completion ” in Jesus. Bodily resurrection must take place for the consummation of this process and the completion of our salvation. This will occur when Jesus appears “ on the clouds of Heaven .” God will continue to perform what He began with our conversion until “ the Day of Christ .” Salvation is a process throughout our lives.
